Abstract (EN)
COMPARED OF SOME PRODUCT ON CHARACTER ST CS OF THEWH TE AND BRONZE TURKEYS NTENS VE AND SEM NTENS VECOND T ONSHatice ÖZER2.ABSTRACTThis research was made with the aim of determining the effects ofgenotype, sex and different feeding ways on feed consumption, live weigt gains, carcass characteristics and sensibility properties of meat.Turkey, which are research material were sheltered in completely closed andchecking compartments throughout 8 weeks but a differentiation was not madeabout sex and feeding way and their 15-30,45-60.day weights were fixed withinterpolation. The effects of gynotype, sex and, feeding ways on growingproperties of gooses were examined with General Linear Model and VariansAnalysis. Turkey which were taken from broody at the age of 1 day, were sentcutting at the end of 18 weeks. At the end of first 8 weeks, white and bronzeturkeys reached an avarage live weight of 1711.44(g) and 1318.08(g) respectively. After the period of making sex and way of feeding differentiations which lastedwith cutting, white male and female turkeys and bronze male and female turkeyswhich are in Intansive group had an avarage weight of 6205.9(g), 4750.0(g) and5258.0 (g), 4112.9 respectively and white male and female turkeys and bronze maleand female turkeys which are in Semiintansive group had an avarage weightof 5631.8(g), 4577.7(g) and 5028.9(g), 4133.0(g) respectively. The differencesbetween two gynotype groups and between two different feeding groups werefound statistically significant (P<0.001).Feed consumptions of white turkeys were 1202193 g and 4957465 g andfeed consumptrions of bronze turkeys were 768659 g and 2735952 g in growing andfeeding periods respectively. Both gynotype groups had 8-9 points (very good) intesting sensible properties of meats. In this research, it was aimed to examine the intansive turkey breeding andit was concluded that a model which is similiar with broiler integration inproduction and marketing can be also used for turkeys and this will be useful foralternative poultry breeding.Key Words : White Turkey , Bronze Turkey, ntensive ,Semi ntensive
