Examination of Beypazari Technical Science Vocational College jewellery and jewel design program

The main objective of this research is to analyze the subject according to the opinions of students of Beypazari Technical Science Vocational College Jewellery and Jewel Design Program.The main study group of research is 60 students of Beypazari Technical Science Vocational College Jewellery and Jewel Design Program that studied during the 2006-2007 terms. During the research, as whole main target group had been reached, sampling has not being considered. In this research area, students have been subjected to the questionnaires. The frequency and percentage analyzes of questionnaire findings has been analyzed by using SPSS software.As a result of the research, it is observed that Vocational College Jewellery and Jewel Design Program students had attended the courses offered by department eagerly. It is also observed that numbers of materials at workshops are satisfactory but not inadequate as numerically, sizably, technologically and in equipmental terms. It is concluded that class hours are generally adequate except jewellry and design courses.It is observed that content of the courses and education techniques used in courses are capable enough to prepare students to their future carrier plans. On the other hand sources used in course are not sufficient. It is concluded that products those designed during these courses are similar to actual products in the market.Students are able to use new techniques during their production processes and encouraged to deduce their design facilities in order to increase creativity. Most of the students suffer particular difficulties about supply of materials. In addition to that facility of marketing and exhibition of the products is also limited.
