Abstract (EN)
A Capia pepper is one of the important types of pepper varieties that are produced and consumed extensively in our country. In addition to fresh consumption, there are many areas of use in industry. In recent years, TSWV disease of Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) disease is the leading factor affecting capia pepper production. Due to the lack of chemical control of TSWV Tomato spotted wilt virus disease, it causes great economic losses in agriculture by causing yield losses in production. One of the most effective methods of combating TSWV disease is the use of resistant varieties. In this study, by using molecular marker methods to transfer the TSWV resistance gene from the commercially sold capia pepper variety (Nr-07), which is known to be TSWV resistant to the local capia pepper variety (Ata-16), It was aimed to both minimize economic losses and to prevent the extinction of our local capia pepper variety. In addition, the plant materials obtained from this thesis can be a gene source for the development of new capia pepper varieties resistant to (TSWV) disease.
