The effect of the bibliotherapy-based reading program on 7th classroom students ofacademic endurance and reading comprehension skills

The aim of this research is to investigate the 7th district in Ağrı province. It is to examine the differences in reading comprehension achievement test and academic endurance of students who continue to the grade level after receiving bibliotherapy. The research was created by using experimental design from quantitative research methods. The research universe was created by a public school at Şehit Uzman Çavuş Tuncer Doğan Secondary School in Ağrı province. As a sample, 30 registered to the school 7. A class student was selected from among them by random method, students were divided into two groups of 15 people and an experimental and control group were formed. Academic Endurance Scale, Reading Comprehension Achievement Scale and Bibliotherapy were applied in the study. As a result of the research, it is observed that there are increases in the pre-test and post-test scores of students receiving bibliotherapy in favor of the final test in both academic endurance and reading comprehension achievement tests. As a result of the research, it has been seen that bibliotherapy applications increase student achievement, and students who receive bibliotherapy can describe themselves as academically more durable. In this context, as a result of the research, suggestions have been developed regarding the increased use of bibliotherapy practice in courses, the provision of trainings necessary for its use, and the repetition and development of the research at different educational levels and in different provinces.
