Abstract (EN)
The designment and production of the prototype of a machine that conducted the process of turning using the method of electro erosion were made through this study. This electroerosion machine is comprised of four axes built to provide mobility for the system in the direction of x, y, z and c (dividing-head) axes. The criterias of designment were defined for the mechanical parts which are to provide axis movements and thus, an actuator was created. Axes were moved by using servomotors; AC servomotor for x, y, c axes and DC servomotor for z axis. A PLC was preferred which may offer four axis outlets, in order to provide the pacings, location and direction controls of servomotors. An operator-touch panel was used to assure the user control of the machine, and the process of the review was concluded. Design of a generator unit was also made and controlled through operator panel in order that electro erosion machine can perform the process of machining. For this process, a numerical-analogue conversion module was used which can make analogue control by PLC. Besides, an atomization system, which makes cooling and dielectric activities between workpiece and electrode, was designed and joined to the machine. This machine was put in the features of ability to turn the work pieces and to pickle with the rotary motion called as c axis. The machine can perform the process of forming made in classic erosion machines, beside operating long and small scaled materials and scaling down their diameters. Experimental studies were made using steel and iron as work pieces, and copper and graphite electrodes, in order to test the performance criteria of the improved machine. In conclusion, necessary measurements were performed with surface finish measuring device and electro microscope, and this study was compared with others. The results obtained showed that the machine bears the specified criterias.
