Abstract (EN)

In recent years, web pages are offering non-structured, dynamic, rapidly growing and unclassified data to their visitors. This big stack of data, and the relations between them are not well identified and it is an unknown to the visitors even though main purpose is to be read by them. Instead of defining meaningful relations between presented data, they are arranged to let visitors easily read them. Hence, web sites can be read and interpreted by humans, but only humans. It is not possible for computer applications to do interpretation and reasoning, and there must be a new approach to let applications have this skill. This subject is first announced by Tim Barners Lee where he suggested to use semantic web to overcome this obstacle. By applying semantic web exercises, data can be presented as structured to allow computers understand them. Ontologies are used to share structured and easily understandable data in semantic web. By having ontology exercises, it will be possible to set reasonable and logical relations between definitions, on top of structural categorization. In this study, introduction and explanation of the term "ontology" in information technologies is aimed. Hence, development of web technologies and semantic web are mentioned to explain what ontology is and how one can set statistical ontology. This statistical ontology is used in a web application which helps its users to select correct statistical test type according to their needs.
