11 NEURO-FUZZY CONTROL OF A SWITCHED RELUCTANCE MOTOR (Ph.D. Thesis) M.A1İ AKCAYOL GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECNOLOGY December 2001 ABSTRACT In this thesis, neuro-fuzzy control of a Switched Reluctance Motor has been implemented. Initial values both membership functions and rule base of fuzzy logic controller have been obtained using knowledge of dynamic behavior of the motor then these values have learned by artificial neural networks for optimization. A simulator was developed using Delphi programming language. Then the system was implemented using TMS320F240 fixed point digital signal processor. The program of TMS320F240 has been developed using ANSI C language. The comparation of results obtained from both simulations and experiments showed very good agreement. In addition, it has been observed that Switched Reluctance Motor could be controlled in a wide range of speed.
