Abstract (EN)
Mining sector which is a highly risky because of requiring high investment cost. For this reason, planning and designing phases during pre-production and production may reduce the investment costs and decrease the risk rates. The first step of production planning consists in evaluating the prospecting, drilling data, geophysic data best known as geological data on plans and cross-sections to create geological solid model and reserve calculation. Taking into account the supply of the reserve economically proper to the market demand based on quality, quantity at most suitable timing concludes the production planning phase. Meanwhile, the search accuracy and quality of job, experimentation a proactive role in arrive the right conclusion. These experiments build the necessary substructure in choosing the production method. According the substructure geometry of economic reserve, production method and optimum pit design are selected. Mine designing may be conducted by traditional mining production methods as well as by means of developed computer processor capacity by only aim or integrated mining software. Thus, desining processed by computer aid means results in calculation and modelling accuracy, compare different scenarios in short time, easily and speedly change geological database and effective use of quality distribution. In this study an integrated mining software which is one of the most universally acknowledged mining software Micromine was carried out based on mining area exploration datas to evaluate planning. Within the scope of this thesis, based on datas from 145 drillings made on the field and using Micromine software drilling database has been obtained for the purpose to determine the producible reserve, quality distribution of the copper ore and determine of the optimum pit limit. As a result, the amount of the reserve and the distribution of orientation and different grade ranges have been identified, the software's contributions to the study of open pit mining design, scheduling production planning has been observed. After the creating of database of geological data of 3-D drilling were shown in Vizex screen. Then, created a hatch file and chose economical part in drillings graphics. When created the cross-section on drillings, connected the strings and created a solid model of the ore was obtained. This solid model provided to calculate the colume of ore body. Composite file was ceated by using drill hole database. Drill hole datas of site was evaluated statistical and variogram analysis. And decide to estimation method which one is suitable for this site. In this stage, search ellipsoid has been used. Search ellipsoid was used to find direction of distribution of ore values. Created parameters may provide the change azimuth angle, dip angle, ellipsoid radius, ellipsoid position. And this conclusion showed that which direction to use in estimation calculation. Then, dimensions of 10x10x5 blocks created using the block model and intersected with solid model which is for the rest of the grade with the inverse distance method appointed. When evaluate the values of drillholes, statistically distribution of copper values is normal distributed. Consequently, Inverse distance method has been chosen instead of Kriging. End of this step, copper grade distribution has been determined. By changing the mine desing for economical targets, by using Micromine software for the production planning, the advantages and benefits of the Micromine was established. Calculate of optimum pit limit which is required so many paramaters such as ore mining cost, waste mining cost, ore dilution value, ore recovery value, ore transportation value, concentration cost value, concentration grade value, concentration recovery value, concentration selling cost value, copper element price values were entried. On the other hand, important value of determine of optimum pit limit was slope restrictions. Before the determine slope angels, geological conditions, wall rock conditions were examined for consolidate the pit design. Micromine software calculate and gave optimum pit limit according to paramaters. Then decide to slope height, slope width, slope angle, design of berms, road width, road angle for create economical pit design. As conclusion of this project, the grade distribution with Inverse distance method, economical reserve and optimum pit limit were determined, and by means of possible different pit designs according to economical market values of copper, production costs, sales costs and demand were determined. Affect of Micromine software over mine planning and designing and its advantages are clearly obtained in this study.
