Abstract (EN)

The product that regulates the mechanical power transmission between the engine and the transmission of a passenger car with an internal combustion engine is the clutch assembly. It is also expected to be damped the angular vibrations caused by the explosion of fuel air mixture in the engine from the disc assembly, which is one of the sub component of the clutch assembly. In this thesis study, the absorbtion capacity of the disc assembly of the angular vibrations was examined first by vehicle testing and then by simulation studies. In the vehicle test, angular vibration values were calculated by measuring the angular velocity values with the sensors at the engine and transmission sides. In the simulation study, the simulation model was established by using the basic elements representing the system in the Amesim software and the results were compared with the vehicle test results. It was observed that the disc assembly in the clutch system used during the tests could not dampen the vibrations enough from engine side. In the second stage of the study, the effect of changes in the spring coefficient and friction load values of the damper springs and friction washers on the clutch disc assembly were investigated. In order to improve the system response, simulation studies were repeated with five different value groups in accordance with the characteristics of the clutch disc assembly. The results of these trials have been examined and the values that can provide improvement in system response have been determined.
