Abstract (EN)

Most people spend most of their daily lives indoors. That's why clean indoor air is very important for people's physical and mental health. Different methods are used to clean the indoor air. One of them is portable air purifiers. In this thesis, the performance of a portable air purifier, which is used to clean the air of a room with a person sitting in it, was investigated. While examining the performance of the device, clean air delivery rate (CADR) and air age parameters were used. CADR and air age parameters were evaluated and compared within the result of different positions, blowing angles and blowing speeds of the device. Air velocity, temperature and air age distributions in different planes in the room were examined and interpreted. The most suitable blowing speed and angles were determined for CADR and air age values. Within the result of the analyzes and calculations, it has been determined that the position of the device, different blowing angles and speeds affect the performance of the portable air purifier.
