Abstract (EN)

Energy consumption outlook of Turkey, which is categorized in the developing countries, appears to increase above the world average. The high cost of energy in our country requires us to be more efficient in energy consumption. Efficient use of energy especially in the industrial sector whose share is % 35 in the total energy consumption will not only allow our companies to compete effectively in the global market but also help to cope with the current national energy deficit. In Turkey, there are still many uneconomical industrial premises in current conditions most of which are public utilities. These consume too much energy according to the cost criteria and cannot keep up with technological developments. In this research the energy efficiency of the machines in a ceramic factory that hasn?t been able to adapt itself to current technological changes has been studied. It has been concluded that this effeciencies of energy and exergy analysis conducted for the ceramic factory are % 65,3 and % 35 respectively. Key Words: Energy-Exergy Analysis, Energy-Exergy Efficiency, Ceramic Industry
