Abstract (EN)

The aim of the study is to analyze how far the students at different age groups in the first group achieve the learning outcomes in the Turkish and Mathematics courses with regard to the teachers views. This study is of descriptive survey model. The sample of the study is made up of 320 students studying in totally 25 classrooms in 9 primary schools chosen through the randomized sampling method in the district of Kozluk in the province of Batman. The data were collected using "Assessment Scale of Achieving the Turkish and Mathematics Learning Outcomes" in the research. Means and standard deviation were calculated and independent samples t-test and one-way anova test were used for the analysis of the data gathered. Based on te findings obtained, it is seen that there is a significant difference among students' scores regarding how far they achieve the Turkish and Mathematics learning outcomes according to when they start primary school [F(2, 317)= 5.184; p <.05], [F(2, 317)= 7.730; p <.05] and that this difference is in favor of the students aged 72-months or over between those aged 72 months or over and those aged 60-65 months. According to the independent samples t-test results conducted regarding whether the students achieved the learning outcomes based on the variables of gender and having pre-school education, it has been determined that there is a significant difference in the achievement levels of learning outcomes of the stuents whose schooling age is between 60-65 months and 66-71 months in favor of the female students and those attending pre-school. On the other hand, it has been found out that there is no significant difference between the scores concerning how far the students aged 72 months or over according to the gender. The data in this study were gained through a Likert-tye scale and the data in the future studies could be obtained through achievement tests. In the study, the chronological age was used as the schooling age. To what extent students achieve learning outcomes could compared determining students' readiness levels. Key words: Schooling Age, Turkish Course, Mathematics Course, Learning Outcome
