Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, simplest epidemiological models are studied. SIR and SIS model, which are a few of these models, are developed and the cases in which a disease disappears from population or becomes endemic are examined with mathematical approaches. Furthermore, demography is incorporated into SIR epidemic model and the stability of the equilibria of this model is discussed. In addition, a model of a disease which is transmitted by a vector is developed. It is observed that models of vector-borne diseases can be expressed in delay differential equations. Finally, more realistic models about infectious diseases are presented.
