Abstract (EN)
Wind turbines have become the most important renewable energy source. When the speed of Wind turbines is above nominal, the blade pitch angle has to be controlled to ensure that the wind turbines operate safely and the output power is stable. The present research is an attempt to determine the type of control concerning the angle of inclination for blade pitch in wind turbines by applying the MATLAB (Simulink) program and modern control systems to obtain the best and highest output power. Firstly, the basic system of wind turbines is addressed, followed by the design of the proposed model and the basic mathematical equations by taking into account the external factors related to the wind turbine blades that affect the speed of rotation of the turbine. In this thesis, five types of control; PID, Fuzzy logic, Fuzzy logic with PID, Fuzzy Type- 2, and Fuzzy Type- 2 with PID have been applied and compared. The results showed that Fuzzy Type- 2 with PID provides the best controls. Finally, the ideal wind speed that works in wind turbines is determined along with the best blade pitch angle to generate electricity without any loss.
