Abstract (EN)
The aim of this investigation is to determine the effects over the computational thinking abilitty and the activity perception of the 2nd classes of the primary schools that join in the learning activities by using the site block based code.org in order to perform on this aim, forty students who are 2nd classes level but are in different two sections of the central city of Sakarya were chosen as the control and experiment group by dividing in to equal two parts. The students that are being educated are inserted to the groups at random. Fort his reason, the half experimental design that contains the beginner test and the last test belonging to the control group was used. In the investigation process, there were 9 girl and 11 boy students in the experiment group, in spite of this, 11 girl and 9 boy students are in the control group. During this working, the half experimental design was used as amethod. The suitable activities of coding education were applied on the experiment group but any activity was done fort he students in the control group. Computational thinking test and the activity perception scale were used as data gathering device in this working. The datas were gathered by the studying of the investigator in the field andhave been accessed in to the statistic programme. In order to control the differences between the points of the beginner and last tests belonging to the control and experiment group, ANOVA method wich has two facors was used. Expect fort his, ANOVA was used for the related measures and the avarage points of the activity perception scale of the experiment group to analysis. The datas that were obtained from this studying have been analysed by using the SPSS 21 packet programme. Before the investigation, it was seen the avareges of the points of the beginner tests that hed been applied on the experiment and control groups for measuring the computational thinking ability. Despite this condition, the meaningful difference was observed at the end of the last tests. According to the datas that were ontained at the results of the investigation, it can bbe offered to give place to the block based coded activities and it can be observed the effect of the expanding of the computational thinking ability in the lessons including the application of code.org at the primary school level. The points that have been obtained from the activity perception scale belonging to the experiment group were analysed. As to the results of the analyse, the students Express that they delay while are doing acitivities over code.org site and contribute to their personal development. According to the datas that have been obtained from the activity perception scale, it was offered to give programming education with visual based device at the primary school level.
