Abstract (EN)
Bosphourus has a great importance not only for İstanbul but also for all the country. Spatial and architectural forms in Bosphourus is unique in character according to urban and architectural scale. In this study, Bosphourus and spatial characteristics of it is examined and studied in detail as streets, squares, palaces, mensions and waterside mensions(kasır ve yalılar), mosques and gardens. According to this examination, unique spatial characteristics are listed and become a base point for some contemporary recommendations. Architectural and urban scale suggestions made in this thesis are a base for newly designed buildings and urban design proposals in future.
