Abstract (EN)

Our country's location in an earthquake zone necessitates the earthquake-resistant construction of new buildings and the earthquake-resistant construction of existing buildings. For this reason, it is of great importance to determine the earthquake performance of existing building stocks, which have a great economic value. However, evaluating large building stocks with today's advanced analysis methods requires a long time and creates a large workload. Therefore, it is essential to classify large building stocks according to their risk status with more practical methods. Many rapid assessment methods have been developed as a result of studies in the literature to assess buildings more practically. Within the scope of this study, the risk status of 26 reinforced concrete structures constructed in Haliliye district of Şanlıurfa province in accordance with DBYBHY-2007 was evaluated by using the Hassan index method and P25 rapid assessment method among these rapid assessment methods in the literature and compared with the results obtained from nonlinear pushover analysis applied to the structures in accordance with TBDY-2018 principles. While 88.46% of the structures were determined not to pose a risk as a result of the applied pushover analysis, 46.15% of the structures were determined to be risky as a result of the evaluations made with the Hassan index method, and 76.92% of the structures examined according to the P25 rapid evaluation method.
