Abstract (EN)

Soybean was used as the experimental material. Soybean seeds were germinated in fattening habitat and then they were taken into the pots, to the perlite habitat. The boron compounding were added to (K2B4O7 4H2O) potassium tetraborate decahydrate at % 25, % 50, %75, %100 to the soybean seedlings which have taken into the pot habitat and the plants were grown separately under the heat stress of 6 days and 25+ 2, 12 days and 30+2 and 18 days and 35+ 2 degrees Celcius. The plants were harvested the end of the 18th day and their chlorophyll, MDA, proline and ion (Na+, K+, Ca++) analyzes were made. Although the responses of the soybean plant to boron concentrations and time are different, it has been understood that high doses of boron have made better effect, while low doses have reduced the positive effect of boron. Proline and boron have showed protective properties against negative effects. It has been concluded that the highest plant yield will be obtained from the unit area by making careful choices about many factors such as plant variety to withstand the temperature and soil structure. Thus, it has been understood that % 0.75 and % 100 mm boron doses have a toleranceenhancing effect in areas with heat stress. KEYWORDS: boron, soybean, heat, proline, ion
