Abstract (EN)

In this study, effect of boron addition to hydration mechanizm of two major phases; C3S (Alit; tricalcium silicate; 3CaO.SiO2) and C3A (Celite, tricalcium aluminate, 3CaO.Al2O3) existing in Portland cement (PC) was investigated.İnitially CaO-SiO2 and CaO-Al2O3 phase diagrams have been examined and producing of these two major phases performed respect to temperature wt% concentration points existing on these phase diagram.Etibor-48 and Etibor-68 compounds 1, 3, 5% wt% added to produced phases respectively in addition recipes that contain 3% gypsum prepared to determine the effect of gypsum to hydration efficiency.XRD and ICP analysises performed to prapered recipes whole Alite samples exposed negative and all Celite samples exposed positive Zeta potential values. ICP analysis show that, consentration of Ca+2 ion was increased in order to increasing of Boron content and Na+, Al+3, B+3 and Si+4 ions existing in hydration media. İncrement of Na+ and B+3 ions caused by increment of borax pentahydrate (Na2B407.H20) and anhydrous borax (Na2B407).In XRD Analysis of Alite phase, Porlandite, Hillabrandite, Wallastonite, Foshagite, Oyelite and Borax, Sodium Borate Hydrate phases and XRD Analysis of Celite phase Katoite, sodium borate hydrate, Ettringite phases were determined.
