Abstract (EN)
Present on, innovations brought by industrialization and new inventions created a serious achievement on the time people spend for work. This achievement brought free time and free time activities defined in the concept of recreational activities into the life of modern humans. Recreation and recreational activities gave people indispensable gains such as self confidence, physical health, stress purification, and self test.This research helped to make an analysis on retired officers, an important social group of our country. This analysis covers recreational activities, retired civil servants? approaches on these activities, their expectations, and inability to participate, collected by the various survey methods and findings. In our country retired officers were found unable to attend recreational activities because of financial insufficiency and health problems. Again, encouragement of retired officers by the government and private sector has been identified as another important factor.Keywords: Leisure, Leisure Assessment, Recreation, Recreational Activities
