Abstract (EN)
Our thesis,"Reflections of the Bosnian War in the Modern Turkish Poetry," consists of five chapters. In the first chapter the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the political situation and the vision of religious life and culture is mentioned. The second chapter emphasizes historical, political, religious and cultural connections between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The war that has happened in the middle of the Europe and the massacre that has happened in front of everyone?s eyes and this war?s background has been analysed in the third chapter.In the fourth chapter we tried to show the world?s, opinion and its intentions about the actual situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. .In the fifth chapter we analysed the poems that has been effected by Bosnian War as well as some literary levels and those thematic fields that has been effected by the war. These thematic titles are as following: Children with War Experience Poems, Mostar Bridge Poems, Srebrenica Poems, Alija Izetbegovic Poems, Homecountry Poems, Martyr Poems, Poems related to the Logic of the Bosnian War.We selected and analysed the featured works and important texts that has been writen about this subject. We did the evaluation of the poems that has been selected acording to their subjects and which are connected to the Bosnian War.As the result of this analysis we can say that the dominant feeling shared between all Turkish poets is sincere feeling of sadness and the feeling of brotherhood. The Turkish poets showed both with their poems and their hearts that they are witnesses of the Bosnian history and thorugh their poems they also showed that they are against all tyranny, injustice and unfairness.
