Abstract (EN)
It is evident how important DC-DC converters are in providing maximum efficiency from solar energy, and boost DC-DC converters are more preferred in photovoltaic panels. They provide high power and better performance in high frequency. Photovoltaic panels alone produce insufficient power. To bring this power to the desired level, it is necessary to use a DC-DC boost converter. In this study, it is aimed to control the converter part of the solar energy systems by applying fuzzy logic controller to DC-DC boost converter structure with 2-stage switched capacitor. At the same time, the advantages and disadvantages of various DC-DC converter structures and other control methods are examined. The system requirements and objectives of the study were determined. Then mathematical analyzes were made and the design was carried out to increase the efficiency of the structure to high levels by using the fuzzy logic controller which gives fast and reliable results in the control of the converter. The suitability of the designed structure to obtain maximum power for photovoltaic panels has been tested. At the same time, the performance analysis of the designed converter is simulated in Matlab / Simulink environment under different input voltages and variable load conditions. As the designed structure provides a constant output voltage at the variable load and input voltages, the well-designed boost has the characteristics of the DC-DC converter. Simulation results prove this. The results in this study show that the designed structure has high performance for both solar and other power electronic applications.
