Prioritization of electricity distribution network projects with the fuzzy logic approach

Energy is a factor that we need in many areas of our life, which has an impact on strategic importance today and in the future. The distribution of electrical energy has a more complex structure compared to the production and transmission processes. It is the responsibility of electricity distribution companies to provide high-quality, continuous and safe delivery of electrical energy to users and to meet increasing energy demands. For this reason, distribution companies should take these issues into account in their planning in periods. The presence of multiple criteria in the planning of the electricity distribution network poses a problem in the case of project selection and decision-making. Many scientific applications and methods are used to help in decision-making processes. The use of artificial intelligence applications as a decision support system is increasing gradually. The fuzzy logic found in expert systems, on the other hand, allows us to make inferences by transferring the data obtained from people's knowledge and experiences to computers together with the rules created by digitizing them. In the study, prioritization of the projects to be included in the investment plan was carried out using the fuzzy logic method. Electricity distribution legislation (law, regulation, etc.) in line with and by taking the opinions of experts, 21 sub- and 6 main criteria were determined. Seven fuzzy expert systems (BUS) were designed by Decoupling between the sub- and main criteria. As a result of this study, the relationship between the investment planning criteria was determined and a model was created for objective and correct decision-making by presenting the best situation to the managers who will make Deci-sions in the selection of investment projects.
