Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to examine the illuminations in eleven manuscripts from the 15th and 16th centuries which are present in General Collection at Bursa İnebey Manuscript Library. The introduction discusses the styles that shaped the art of illumination in the 15th and 16th centuries in addition to the prominent illuminators of the era. The illuminations and the colours used have been thoroughly analysed and the motifs, spiral systems and schemes have been conscientiously drawn on the grounds that the stylistic characteristics of the era could be represented in an accurate manner. In conclusion, information about the page designs, composition, ornamentation spaces and the motif sets used in the manuscripts have been provided in the study.
