Abstract (EN)

In this study, the characterization of external morphological features used in scorpion systematics was examined in detail using Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) of species collected from Şanlıurfa province in Turkey according to Buthacus tadmorensis (Simon, 1892). The sense organs of the species are shown and compared with other scorpion species distributed throughout the country. Specifically, the number of pecten (comb) teeth was examined in both sexes, and it was determined as 25-28 in females and 33-34 in males. Flat hairs, which are thought to be a sensory function, were observed on the tip of the chela, especially in males. Granules scattered throughout the body, carinas, setae and wax openings, socket hairs on the legs, and the slit sensillum are shown in detail in the photographs. Genital organs and stigma openings were photographed in detail for both sexes and their descriptions were made.
