Abstract (EN)

Growing of energy consumption in the world has brought some problems such as pollution,damaging of ozone layer, growing cost of energy production and consumption, and finishingthe energy sources. As a result of these, it is aimed to increase efficiency and decreaseconsumption in every area where energy used. The biggest problem domestic usage of energyis heat loss caused by lack of isolation. From the beginning of 1980?s, PVC and aluminumwindow and door frames have been used in constructions and constructors begun tomanufacture insulating glass. It became a large sector growing with construction industry atthe same timeIn this thesis, flow changes are searched in butyl extruders caused by design differences.Positive changes in the flow values will directly affect the efficiency of the extruder. So theproductivity will be raised.The designs in this thesis belong to Best Cam şleme Makinaları malat San.Tic.Ltd Şti. ,andthey are used in different manufacturing series.Keywords: Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluent, butyl
