Abstract (EN)
When structures are exposed to horizontal forces, such as earthquakes, wind, high moments occur on their foundations. In this case, there is no tension in some parts of the foundation since there is no contact with the ground. When the standard static solution is calculated, negative stress is obtained in these regions. As the stress distribution to be made according to this solution will be inaccurate, the stress distribution should be rearranged. The stress distribution is easy to reproduce due to the fact that the stress distribution is linear on the rigid foundations. Even formulas related to this are derived from the formulas. However, since the stress distribution on elastic foundations is not linear, it is very difficult to estimate the stress distribution. In this thesis, it is aimed to derive mathematical models that can determine the stress distribution in elastic continuous foundations with big eccentricity and to express it with a formula. When creating this model, an optimization problem will be derived to reduce the difference between external loads and internal forces. Derived optimization problem is aimed to solve mathematical formulas by solving Artificial Bee Colony, Tree Seed and Bio-Geography algorithms which is one of the meta-intuitive based optimization methods that have proven effectiveness on different problems. In addition, different soil conditions and loading conditions were analysed to investigate the change of mathematical formulas. It is observed that these algorithm methods are applicable. Tree seed method provides the best performance of these methods. However, it is observed that performance decreases starting from 0.45L from eccentricity value.
