Abstract (EN)

Computer-based design has always been a part of our lives. Nowadays, there are almost no design studies carried out without computers.In this thesis, the design phase with computer support, the manufacturing process of PVC tablecloth, machinery used in the process and the techniques applied on PVC are discussed. Both in our country and the world, the richness of color and pattern, and the availability of PVC tableclothes are widely studied.In this study, geometric, ethnic, artistic and some pattern types as well as the most preferred flower patterns on PVC material are emphasized. The PVC table cloth patterns have been made using the computer-based Adobe Photoshop program.The advanced technology has allowed us to print all kinds of the color patterns on PVC table clothes. This fashionable product group is an indicator of properties of colors and patterns of countries.This study, as a result, shows that, floral patterns and bright-colored PVC tablecloth patterns reflect our country's tradition and social culture.The place and the sale, target customer, design options depending on the countries in the home textile group of the PVC should be considered all together. In fact, in addition to PVC tablecloth, some research on the complementary products obtained by the PVC should also be done. The studies of designers on the development of these types of products should always be taken into account by the industry.
