Abstract (EN)
Chagatai Turkish was used as both a spoken and written language between the 15th and 20th centuries, and was replaced by Uzbek Turkish after the 19th century. The aim of the study is to examine Sedd-i İskenderî in terms of morphology and vocabulary and to reveal its appearance in Uzbek Turkish. Studies on Sedd-i İskenderî have been scanned, and these studies are mostly grammatical examinations of more than one work from the relevant period within the framework of general headings. This study is to determine whether the morphology and vocabulary findings determined in an independent work are witnessed in Uzbek Turkish. In this study, information is first given about Chagatai Turkish, Ali Şîr Nevâyî, Uzbek Turkish, and Sedd-i İskenderi. While writing the thesis, Hatice Tören's Sedd-i İskenderi (Study-Text), which was the source of the thesis, was used. For the meanings of the findings determined in the work, Chagatai field and Ottoman-Turkish dictionaries were used.
