Abstract (EN)

Increasing the work performance of the personnel working in today's business world sectors, where the work intensity is abundant, increasing the quality of the service provided and increasing the efficiency are important in terms of achieving organizational goals. Psychological capital, which is a growing area in positive organizational behavior, can be seen as one of the psychological resources that affect personal development and performance. Increasing the psychological capital levels of the employees can have a positive effect on the expected labor productivity and performance of the employees. The main purpose of this study; Emphasizing the concept and definition of "motivation", which has seen a rapid increase in the number of literature and studies recently, and its importance in terms of today's organizations, in the light of the results that will emerge by investigating how motivation affects employee performance, which can increase with the increase in psychological capital levels on employees. The aim is to present results with methods and data and suggestions about performance and productivity increase in today's businesses where efficiency and institutional outputs are important and to put forward new methods that will benefit the increase of productivity by shedding light on the management. In the study, it is aimed to measure the work performance levels, psychological capital levels and motivation levels of the employees in different sectors in Adana. Due to the difficulty of meeting face-to-face due to the worldwide Covid-19 epidemic, the research survey was conducted online. To the research survey; 318 personnel working in different private and public sectors and units participated. Since the research data is limited to the province of Adana, 30 questionnaires containing out-of-state and cursory fillings and missing data were excluded from the analysis and analyzes were made with a total of 288 data. In recent years, the importance of the positive effect of employee performance and productivity on corporate outputs in Turkey and abroad regarding this issue has been increasing, and it is anticipated that the studies to be carried out in this field will make a positive contribution to the increase in work efficiency. In this study, domestic and foreign publications that draw attention to the meaning and importance of the concepts of psychological capital, motivation and employee performance recently, as well as the positive and negative effects it will create, have been used, examined and cited.
