Abstract (EN)
This study aims to draw attention on Mobbing, to contribute to the correct perception of it and to contribute to the formation of informative and directing findings for researchers, businesses and employees. In accordance with this purpose, the awareness of male and female employees working in banking sector in Bolu and their reactions concerning mobbing behaviors were researched. In this context, the main subject of the study is the evaluations in terms of which behaviors are perceived as Mobbing behaviors by the Bank's employees. It's the correct understanding of the concept that represents an important beginning for producing solutions. So, this study has an important place in which behaviors employees perceive as Mobbing and how these perceptions are correct and developing correct solutions in this context. In this regard, both qualitative and quantitative research methods and techniques were utilized in the study and the findings obtained from these two methods were evaluated. In this study, it is thought that using both methods together will contribute to a more explanatory perspective on the subject. Survey questions directed to the participants within the context of quantitative research were prepared using Negative Acts Questionnaire (NAQ). Within the context of qualitative research, data collection process was completed by in-depth interviews. In-depth interview question form consists of 22 semi-structured questions. With the quantitative findings obtained with this study; by all factors, it was observed that gender and age of employees did not differentiate their perception of mobbing. However, different from those, a significant difference was found in the variables of marital status, sector of employment, duration of work and duty in the enterprise and some factors. it is noteworthy that while new employees are exposed to behaviors towards professional reputation more frequently, those who are exposed to Mobbing most frequently are employees with more than 11 years of working time. Within In-depth interviews, Mobbing perceptions of participants were evaluated and it was determined that behaviors that are perceived as mobbing is not directed to a single person and these behaviors are applied to all employees who cannot reach their targets due to the pressure brought by the sales targets given by the bank's working order. According to the results of both researches in terms of quantitative findings, exposure to Mobbing was low; but in terms of qualitative findings, It's thought that participants were exposed to Mobbing predominantly because target pressure was evaluated as Mobbing. Therefore, with this research it was reached that employees do not have sufficient information about the definition of Mobbing; in other words, they have a contradiction in their perception about which behaviors are Mobbing.
