Abstract (EN)

Work life forms a significant part in commuter's life. Emotional Quotient level of individuals effect their work life. Purpose of this study is to describe impact of emotional quotient and job satisfaction on work life which is a very important part of life. Historical method and literature review were adopted as main approach for this study It is impossible to ignore importance of emotional quotient (EQ) -which is described as the capacity of individuals to recognize and cope with their own emotions, to motivate oneself, to emphatize and manage relationships with others- in adaptation to work life and gaining a seat.It will be a lot easier for people with high emotional quotient to meet the organisational expectations and fulfill their needs in work life. Fulfilment of expectations and needs will lead to positive feelings towards work and eventually result in job satisfaction. Besides, impact of emotional quotient on interrelations among managers and employees and employees by themselves should be taken into consideration as well. In work environments where good relations are established among managers and employees, contentment will scale up and that will lead to increase in job satisfaction.
