Abstract (EN)

The concept of ergonomics for the human being who has to spend a great port of the day working, is looking for ways and methods to protect the health of the employee and to work more efficiently with this study, the working offices of the academic and administrative staff working in the central campus of Düzce University (DU) were examined in an ergonomic perspective and their effects on the work performances were tried to be determined in this context, the working offices and office furniture of the academic and administrative staff working in the DU central campus were investigated in terms of ergonomics and the effects of both physical environmental conditions and the equipment used on the employees were investigated. In the scope of the research, a questionnaire consisting of 25 questions and 81 jurisdictions, which were prepared by using the works in the literature, were used as a means of obtaining data, working offices, office furniture and physical environment conditions were examined ergonomically. Between April 2017 and September 2017, 316 evaluable questionnaires as a result of the evaluations, data were collected form 14 different units, 70% were male participants, 85% were at least undergraduate graduates, 70% were studied for 6 years and more, 90% were used in 4 hours and more time and 95% percent of each session in the computer for 1 hour and more period is determined to work on the computer, 15% of the participants experienced discomfort due to computer use during the task has been found to suffer from discomfort experienced mainly musculoskeletal system. It was determined that there was no negativity as a result of ergonomic analysis of the working offices of the participants. As a result of the study, it is thought that giving support to the participants about the ergonomics of the office by training and seminars.
