Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, re-using potential of Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) pipe dust, which is a waste that occurs during manufacturing process, in GRP pipe production has been investigated. GRP pipe dust, was used as 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10% of total amount of silica sand that is used for pipe producing. Centrifugal casted pipes were manufactured with a nominal diameter of 350 mm, nominal pressure class of 6 Bars and nominal stiffness of 5000 N/m2 for each mixture combination and reference pipe which has pipe waste dust. Changes of mechanical properties are evaluated with results of as hoop tensile strength, axial tensile strength and hoop flexural strength tests. All GRP pipes which have pipe waste dust are compared with reference pipe and conformity of results to related standards is evaluated. Finally, it has been determined that manufacturing of GRP pipe, which has better mechanical properties, fulfill the required values defined in standards and is able to be designed for different kind of projects can be done by using waste pipe dust. Also it has been presented that entegration of waste dust in production is a usefull approach in terms of waste management.
