Abstract (EN)
The areas where composite materials are used today (Defense industry, space technology, aviation, construction, transportation, automotive, health, sports) are increasing day by day. As a result of this, researches are carried out on subjects that exhibit a variety of higher strength, lighter, low radar traces, low or high thermal and electrical conductivity, and nanocomposites. In this study, the use of glass fiber material as a reinforcing element in thermoplastic composite structure with polymer matrix was investigated. Glass fiber is used as a strengthener in plastic based materials due to its high tensile and abrasion resistance. High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE), Polypropylene Co-polymer (PPC), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) were used as polymer matrix. In the granular thermoplastic polymer materials, composite plates were produced by using hot press machine by glass fiber reinforcement. The composite plates were cut and the test specimens were obtained. As a result of the tests performed, glass fiber reinforcement has been shown to increase in strength and decrease in deformation due to impact. With this reinforcement, a good strength increase is achieved in the materials. Glass fiber reinforced ABS composite material was obtained as the material with the highest tensile strength among the produced composite materials.
