Abstract (EN)

Rapid progress in technology brings with it the obligation of countries and their manufacturers to follow technological advances accordingly. Investments made in technological progress offer the right to have a say in the producers. For white goods users, energy and cost are some of the greatest demands. White goods manufacturers are developing technologies for this demand. But loss of time and cost is an obstacle to the producers in some applications. Computer applications that take experimental methods to remove this loss come to the forefront. These applications can be performed within a short period of time without any cost loss. Washing machines are constantly changing due to the use of water and energy. This can be attributed to the increase in the world population and the limited availability of energy resources. It is becoming imperative that washing machine manufacturers follow technology closely. Experimental practices restrict the development of water and energy. Within the scope of the thesis, it is aimed to reduce the time and cost in terms of producers and the use of water and energy in terms of world resources by examining the studies which can be experimentally examined in the washing machine in the washing machine model. The washing machine goes through the stages of washing, rinsing and spinning. Depending on the spinning capacity of the washing machine during the spinning stage, it rises to different high speeds. At high speeds, unwanted mechanical effects are seen in the washing machine. These effects in some cases damage the parts inside the machine and are not welcomed by the user. For this reason, the aim of the washing machine is to optimize the spinning stage depending on certain parameters. In order to optimize the spinning profiles within the thesis, displacement profiles are examined by testing different profiles which are sufficient to spinning on the washing machine model. Accordingly, it is aimed to determine the most suitable spinning profile in the washing machine in terms of the amount of load. An experimental setup was established to achieve this goal. The different spinning profiles in the test setup were applied to the single machine for different load quantities. In future work, different profiles can be created for different washing machines and an adaptive spinning algorithm can be created by expanding the work to achieve optimum spinning efficiency. Within the scope of the thesis, the amount of water squeezed from the laundry was measured according to the experimental setup and the load amount. The best spinning profile is determined as mentioned. However, in order to keep the washing machine' s life and obtain the vibration level at a certain level, three-axis tub displacement changes become important. For this purpose, the spinning profiles have been applied in the model of washing machine obtained from the way. The washing machine tub displacements were obtained in the washing machine model with the applied spinning profiles. The best spinning profile is the maximum amount of water being squeezed and the profile of the washing machine vibrations to a minimum value. Estimating the amount of laundry in the washing machine is an important criterion for not spending too much water in the washing stage. Some washing machines have an automatic detergent dosing system. By sensing the amount of load in the washing machine, the automatic dosing system is dosing according to the estimated amount of laundry. In the first part of the thesis, literature and patent research related to the perception of the laundry estimation in the washing machine are included in the literature. When the laundry is unevenly dispersed at high speeds during the spinning stage, the laundry sticks to the drum and creates unbalanced force. In thesis study, the unbalanced force affects the displacement of the three axes of the tub. The washing machine detects the unbalanced load in the early spinning state by different methods and applies a different spinning algorithm to distribute the load accordingly. In the first part of the thesis, related literature and patent researches are also included in the topics of perception of unbalanced load. Different programs are used when obtaining the washing machine model. Within the scope of the thesis, Modelica / Dymola program was preferred. Modelica is an open- source, object-oriented and equation-based language for the appropriate model. Dymola is a dynamic analyzer that can be worked on with different disciplines which enables compilation and analysis of models written in Modelica language. In the second part of the thesis, the components to be given importance were selected while the washing machine, and literature researches were made to model the components with correct mathematical equations. In the third part of the thesis, a literature search of various studies for the washing machine with Modelica / Dymola was given. In addition, it is explained that the selected components are modeled with Modelica / Dymola and the results obtained after the modeling phase are examined. The results obtained after the preliminary modeling phase are examined. There were differences between the actual results and the model results. Experimental measurements were needed to develop and validate the results. Different experimental setups for this purpose have been established and experimental results have been obtained which will be used in optimizing the model results. The model parameters were optimized by the experimental measurements and the experimental measurements made to validate the model. Finally, it is explained that the model is updated depending on the results. The existing washing machine has a single spinning algorithm. The clamping algorithm does not use different stages or durations according to the load of laundry, the unbalanced load generated by the load and the displacement changes that it will create. In the fourth part of the thesis different spinning profiles were established for reaching the spinning cycles at different times, between or without stages between the cycles, and waiting at different times in these cycles. These profiles were applied with different laundry load quantities in the washing machine. In addition to this, in this section, the parameters and results to be examined for the detection of the laundry load in the washing machine. Experimental results of different adaptive spinnig profiles are included. These adaptive spinning profiles are selected as the best water extrusion profile in this section. This section also contains the experimental results of laundry load detection. Load detection in Matlab program using fuzzy logic algorithm is also explained. Bearing force calculation according to the experimental results. Load, unbalanced load and many parameters are used in the bearing calculation. After the forces coming into the bearings are calculated, the adaptive sqeed profile is selected with the water data which is thrown according to the profile. The conclusion and suggestions of the thesis in the fifth and last chapter of the thesis.
