Abstract (EN)

Sea pollution is one of the most environmental problems threaten some organisms in the world. Heavy metals effect toxic if the living get too much. These metals have accumulation potential in the seawater and the other organisms which live in the sea. Algae is one of the most accumulation heavy metal organisms in the sea. In this study, toxic heavy metal (Cd, Zn, Cu, Pb) pollution, which affected human beings through marine food chain, had been researched in some algae and seawater samples collected from different points of Dardanelles by ICP-Atomic Emission Spectrometry Method (ICP-AES) techniques. Accumulation level of these heavy metal had been determined in some algae and seawater samples had been collected four times by the seasons. Therefore collected algae and seawater samples had been brought to laboratory. After they had been prepared for analysis, analysis were performed by (ICP-AES) techniques.According to findings, the element that causes the pollution in the biggest amount is Pb. This amount is about mg/l. Generally, increase level of these heavy metal had been determined in some algae and seawater samples in the summer.
