Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, heavy metal pollution load in the Bayramiç dam, located in the drainage catchment of the Bayramiç basin, was studied. With this purpose, water, sediment and plant samples were taken from the environs of the dam, particularly from the inlets of streams that flow into the dam, in order to determine the total contents of Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, K, Na, Ni, Pb, Zn and P using wet burning method. The obtained values were compared with those suggested in the limit parameters proposed for inland water sources in Regulation of the Protection of Water Sources and it is found that measure values were over the standarts for Cu, Fe, Ni, Pb. In addition, special emphasis was given to ecological pecularities of the basin of Bayramiç Dam to shed light on threats that may be caused by continuity of water and sediment pollution in the future.
