Determination of frequency and density of misletoe (Viscum album L.) in Çankiri and Çankiri/Ilgaz provinces

This research was carried out in the central and provincial areas of Çankırı province and its Ilgaz district in 2018, 2019 and 2020. In this study, it was aimed to determine the distribution and density of mistletoe in Çankırı province and its Ilgaz district. In the research that the sampling technique was used, the trees along the road route were examined. The coordinates of the research area were determined using by GPS (Global Positining System) and recorded with GPSCF (GPS Coordinates Finder) program. High-rise plants with mistletoe were examined, mistletoe were examined, and mistletoe clusters on the plants were counted and recorded. Mistletoe was found in wild pear, wild hawthorn, almond, poplar, willow, larch, wild plum, pear and acacia trees in Çankırı and Çankırı province Ilgaz district. As a result of statistical studies, mistletoe incidence rates were found in for wild pear (%94), for wild hawthorn (%63), for almond (%57), for poplar (%44), for willow (%25), for larch (%34), for wild plum (%25), for pear (%9), and for acacia (%9).
