Abstract (EN)

In this study, reinforced concrete frame examples having different layers and dimensions subject to horizontal and vertical loads have been analysed considering cracking and second order effects using previously developed computer program. The values obtained from analysis have been compared with linear analysis results and also the results have been checked against the allowable drift ratios specified by Turkish Earthquake Code (TDY). In the study, the effects of the cracking and second order effects on the behaviour of structures have also been examined. The effective stiffness model based on the probability has been used for the computation of moments of inertia in the case of cracking which occurred in beam and column members due to the horizontal and vertical loads. Furthermore, experimental reinforced concrete frame example available in the literature has been solved with the computer program and the results have been compared with the test results in the scope of the study.
