Abstract (EN)
In this work, highly luminescent CdS, CdSe and alloyed CdSeS QD are successfully synthesized by two phase route method by using oleic acid (OA) as a surfactant. The nanocomposites blended with QDs which have highly luminescent efficiency in different ratios by Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE). These nanocomposites were mainly investigated radioluminescence (RL) and optical properties (UV/Vis absorption). Structural, morphological, thermal properties of the nanocrystal and nanocomposites were examined using; XRD, FTIR, TEM, SEM, TG-DTA techniques. OA-capped QDs and also nanocomposites were showed RL peaks for CdSeS at around 530 nm and 710 nm, for CdS at around 460 nm and 650 nm, for CdSe at around 340 nm, 510 nm, and 655 nm respectively. It was observed that the luminescence glow curves are in compliance with absorption and fluorescence spectra. The absorption bands showed a significant blue shift for the nanocomposites as compare to powder QDs. The optical band gap calculated for CdSeS 1.77 eV, for CdS 2.29 eV, and for CdSe 1.82 eV. It was observed that the optical band gap value of LDPE was decreased by the adding ratio of QDs. It was observed that the radioluminescence intensity increased with the growth of the size of the QDs. The size increases of QDs depend on their synthesis time. From this point, the radioluminescence system can be considered as a different method for control the synthesis time depends on growth. Also, these quantum dot doped nanocomposites have been shown to provide remarkable advantages in experimental studies with their easy producing process, flexibility, prepare the desired amount and size.
