Presentation of cheque and payment

Cheque is a commercial deed arranged in ?Turkish Trade Law?and in 3167 numbered ?Law of Arrangement of Payment with Chequesand the Protection of the Cheque Bearers?. By means of the newsystem brought by 3167 numbered Cheque Law the responsibility ofthe banks was increased, also the collection of the data and informingthe banks was given to the Central Bank of Republic of Türkiye.As from the view of the users and banks, the widening of the useof cheque did positively support the economy of the country.Broadening of the cheque usage by time had certain benefits on thecountry development and improvement in the trade life, but besides itbrought some drawbacks. The initial drawback is the usage of chequenot as a payment tool but instead as a credit tool. Another drawback isthe raise of bounce cheque uses as means of due date cheque habit.3167 numbered Cheque Law especially was aimed to bring thesanction of the bounce cheque arrangement but it raised some criticsbecause it increased the obligations of the banks.In this study ?Presentation of Cheque and Payment? topic isevaluated on the frame of ?Turkish Trade Law? and in 3167 numberedlaw decisions.The topic is studied under two main parts:In the first part, ?Presentation of Cheque? and in the second part,?Payment of Cheque? were studied.
