Turkish government's Cyprus politics during Celal Bayar period(1950-1960)

This work?s theme is the politics of Democratic Party about Cyprus during their period. This subject wanted to tell the events that caused important changes on the government party?s politics between the definite dates? evaluation. For instance; Between 22 nd May,1950 ? 9 th May,1951, there were two important developments; first one, the wish of Cyprus Grek Church?s Public Voting ( Wanted to do Plebisit), second one; Turkey?s 1950 General Election and thin elections effects to Cyprus Politics. Between 9 th March, 1951 ? 17 th May, 1954 being reflected of Turkey?s joining to NATO, changes about foreign politics and Cyprus problem. Between 17th May, 1954 ? 9 th December, 1955 at London Conference Turkey, Britain and Greek declared their opinions and according to these decisions Turkish public opinion poll showed their reaction and 6 th September Events were liwed. Between 9 th December, 1955 - 25 th November, 1957 Cyprus Constitution was announced by Britain and aganist this as a reaction Turkish Government defended ?Taksim ? thesis. Between 25 th November, 1957 - 27 th May, 1960 the most important development is Zurich meetings and London Aggrement which was done as a result. According to this aggrement Turkey has the right of being Guarantor Government.
