Abstract (EN)
In this study, the structural behaviour of reinforced concrete frames anchored with additional steel reinforcement is investigated. For this purpose, in the column of an existing reinforced concrete frame a longitudinal hole was drilled, after placing the new reinforcement in the hole, it was filled with epoxy. For the structural analysis of the resultant composite system, micro structural modelling was utilized. In the mathematical modeling of a micro scale three dimensional solid(body), where finite element is used, each component is represented by its own material properties. The displacement and stress behaviour of the structural system upon application of an existing load, before and after placing of the extra reinforcement were studied comparetively. The theoretical analysis results showed that placing of the extra reinforcing bar in an existing structure improved its structural behaviour significantly.
