Abstract (EN)
There are many threats that may be encountered during the life of the engineering structures. Wrong design, wrong manufacturing, earthquake, wind etc. we can give samples. Instead of rebuilding damaged structures, reinforcing the right is the right option to reduce material and time losses. For this reason, strengthening studies have started to gain importance. The determination of the behavior of reinforced concrete elements and structures under various loads is possible with model experiments performed in the laboratory. However, due to reasons such as the size of the elements used in the experiments and the realistic load-bearing difficulties, the cost of these studies is quite high and applications can take a long time. For this reason, it is of great benefit to numerically examine some intermediate situations that have not been tested. At the same time, such studies are important for understanding the scope of ready-made computer programs. The results obtained are highly influenced by the technique of preparing the numerical model. In structural mechanics, studies are needed to determine the ideal analytical modeling techniques that match actual behavior. In this thesis, a nonlinear numerical analysis of a T-section reinforced concrete beams, whose experimental work is in the literature, was performed. The results obtained according to the retrofit with steel plates against the shear effect of the beams were compared in terms of strength, stiffness, displacement and crack development. Thus, the accuracy of the computer model was checked and the modeling technique used was idealized. The results of the experimental study and the findings of the nonlinear behavior were compared and interpreted.
