Abstract (EN)
Bor and its compenents are used in many are as of industry ( glass, ceramic, fuel of jet motors, steil industry, etc.). But in metallugy they are usually used as slag maker and surface hardener. In this study, surface hardening with bor, in other words, BORONİZİNG was examined. Getting a very hard layer, and its resistance to wearing and corrosion can be the reasons for prefering the methot of surfece hardening with bor. For carrying the boronizing through the industrial areas, the boronizing surroundings that give single phose ( Fe^B ) structres are needed. The boronizing process is generally madeby keeping the stell in a boronizing surroundingat the heat interval of 850 - 1050 °C for 2 - 6 hours. It's generally classified as solid, liquid, and gas. In this study, solid boronizing surrounding- have been used. The parameters from 1 hour to 5 hours were tested for. each 5û°C interval at 800 - 1050 °C. The specimens were cauterized with nital ( %5 HN03 + %95 ethyl olcohol ). In the experiment al studies, the micro structer and micro-hardnes of the boronized layer are examined. II
