A study on Cemal Süreya's poetry from the point of view of themes and structure

Fırat University İnstitue Of Social Sceinces Depatment Of Turkish Languange And Literature Master Thesis Elazığ 2004 ABSTRACT Cemal Süreya is one of the important poets and writers of our literature. He was born in 1931 in Erzincan. He has especially brought up himself in the sphere of poetry. Cemal Süreya has performed an extensive world of feelings thoughts and imaginations in his poems. He is one of the poets who knows the Turkish and the West poetry deeply. Cemal Süreya is an orginal poet. He has brought the new inspiration in Turkish poetry. That is why we made a study about his poetries. İn the first part of our work, we gave some information about his life, studies and literary personality. în the second part we made a study concerning the themes, and set aside his best themes. In the third part we made a study structure of his poems. In the fourth part we researched the language and the style of the poems. In this manner we made journey in his world of poetry.
