This research deals with "The Hashiya to the Tefsir al-Baydawi, the two surahs of Al-Qasas and Al-`Ankabut" by Jamal al-Din Ishaq al-Qarmani (d. 933 AH), known as Jamali Khalifa, one of the scholars of the Ottoman era. His book included comments on Al-Baydawi's sayings, explaining what was concealed from them, detailing what was more beautiful in them, and removing confusion from issues that were problematic, especially those related to retirement. His approach was based on a His approach was based on a matchmaking between the two methods of interpretation with the maxim and the rational interpretation, with his style characterized by the smoothness of style and ease of expression. On some ambiguous phrases and problematic words, and among the most important results he reached: introducing Al-Qarmani and clarifying aspects of his life despite the few Arabic sources that wrote about him, and the Hashiya was distinguished by a kind of mental arguments by reviewing and discussing the sayings and opinions of the commentators, and the Hashiya was not devoid of linguistic jokes, grammatical and rhetorical, such as deducing the grammatical rule by referring to the linguistic meaning, or a statement of rhetorical benefit, or the location of the syntax and its significance within the context, and the footnote is not devoid of some drawbacks such as the author mentioning many narrations about Israeliyet without explaining these narrations or commenting on them.
