Abstract (EN)
Agile project management is an approach that has gained momentum in the last 20 years. Studies have shown that this approach is especially effective in software development projects. However, agile project management has rapidly gained acceptance in other sectors as well. This study has investigated the agile project management in our country and analyzed the factors that have impact on the success of agile project management. According to the results of the survey conducted in this context, it has been concluded that the success of agile project management depends on the support of the management, the existence of an agile-friendly environment, competent and talented employees, the use of information systems, the agility of the project, teamwork and effective relationship with customers. It has been determined that success can be achieved in projects by increasing the effect of these factors. Among these factors, management support, organizational environment together with the agility of projects are found to have positive impact on project success. Within the scope of the study, the sectors and individuals are also examined. The main issue that needs to be emphasized here is to direct all businesses to adopt an appropriate project management approach by examining their environmental factors and organizational requirements, rather than directing them to agile project management. In some sectors, traditional project management may be a more effective method. Sometimes traditional and agile project management practices can be applied together. For this reason, businesses need to make analyses very well and act according to the results of these analyses.
