Trabzon according to the reports of CHP party investigators

The Republican People's Party, with the benefit of being a single party between 1923 and 1946, assumed important responsibilities in Turkish politicial life. In this process, intense efforts were made to spread the principles and reforms to the public in every field. The study, which was based on the reports of inspections made by CHP party inspectors and, in some periods, Trabzon deputies in Trabzon province and its districts, aimed to shed light on the economic, social, cultural and administrative structure of both the province and the region between 1935 and 1950 During the research phase, the Republic of Turkey State Archives Directorate, academic studies and review work were used. In the first part of the study, which consists of six chapters, the inspection regions and duties and responsibilities of the inspectors are specified, based on the changes and legal regulations experienced by the CHP party inspectorate institution in the process of its emergence. In the second section, CVs of party inspectors and MPs working in the Trabzon are given. In the third chapter, CHP Trabzon province – district organization, administrative committees in the provinces and districts, the number of members registered to the party by years, education status, numerical rates of changes over time and the functioning of the institutions in the region are conveyed using data graphic tables. In addition, inferences were made by examining the party's administrative and financial inspection reports. In the fourth chapter, inspector inspection reports in the field of pres, education and sports in the region were evaluated. In the fifth chapter, economic, public works and health activities and the problems experienced in these areas, as well as the solution suggestions given by the inspectors are presented.
